My Stinkers

They aren't really stinkers, but this cute kit from Jeanne Marie's Scraps has my favorite little animal - skunks. And it was just too good an opportunity to pass up with this pic of Kaden and Ben in matching shirts from Grandma Debra. I turned the layout into a desktop for my computer in honor of February - month of hearts!

Bridal Party

It's been a couple of weeks since I posted a new design from the wedding pictures. This precious picture was taken in the last few minutes before Miranda's wedding.

Sweet Little Girl

I have a new little love that I'm watching grow up from afar.  She's only a month old but already she is getting so big, and she definitely has a personality.

I used a kit from Devine Digital by Angel Hartline called Holiday Madness.  I love the soft pink paper and not so traditional embellishments.  It makes the layout more of a baby theme rather than holiday.

Let's go to the Movies!

Your first movie was a great hit! To make it easy for mom, we brought along your car seat. No trouble keeping you contained. And you managed to finish off half of the popcorn by yourself! But two minutes before the movie ended, you were asleep!

Better Late

Than never, right? My dd gave me some pictures of my grandson's birthday party, but they were already printed. I struggled trying to get rid of the red eye, and finally gave up. So, she was able to get another set of pics, this time in digital format.

For this layout I used a new kit from Jeanne Marie's Scraps that will be a featured product next month at Denim and Daisies. I love the colors and the wonderful mix of party elements in this kit, and knew that it would be a perfect fit for this birthday boy layout.

Boy Trouble

I love creating layouts that feature my grandsons. This layout features my younger sister's son as well. We were all at a family dinner celebrating my father's 84th birthday, so if you're counting, that's FOUR generations.

I created this one in about 20 minutes, with a great kit from Just Jessa Designs and the January Challenge Template from Denim & Daisies. Denim & Daisies is a new forum and store for me, but they have a lot of exciting plans in place for this coming year. Some of the designers are international, and have some really cool techniques happening. Below is the preview and link to Just Jessa Designs "Boy Trouble". You can find the template link here.

Precious Princess Quick Page Freebie

This week, I had the inspiration to create a quick page for the Precious Princess kit that Just Jessa is releasing in her shops. You can find it here at ACOT.

Jessa agreed to let me offer this as a freebie here on my blog. You can get the file by clicking on the layout below. I hope that you enjoy this Quick Page.

First Christmas

I have an "adopted" grandson, who is an absolute angel. His mommy is great about letting me create layouts with his pictures.

This layout was created using a kit from Kandy Kane Kreations, a new designer to the ACOT store.

His First Bike

Yay! Kaden can ride his "new" bike. It's a hand-me-down, but oh-so-new for him. I'm so proud of him. To highlight this event, I chose this kit from Just Jessa Designs, and used a Template Freebie that she is releasing today on her blog.

Here's the layout:

I really do...

Create for me, not just for my designers. Here are few projects I did this past weekend.

Mr Sleepy Owl

Just Jessa Designs released a new kit today called Mr. Sleepy Owl. He's such a cute character and the papers are so cool and calming. The preview page below has a link direct to the ACOT store, if you want to go snag it.

And here is my design using the kit. This little cutie is the son of my older daughter's best friend. He has such a sweet and gentle spirit - he really is a momma's boy!

Hey Chick - Hey Dude

Just Jessa Designs came out with two kits - Hey Chick and Hey Dude - this past week. Creating for little boys is so easy for me, with two grandsons. But I don't have many pictures of little girls. Thankfully one of the other Creative Team members shared a picture of her daughter with me to use with the "Hey Chick" kit.

Here are links to the kits at a store called E-scape and Scrap.

And here are my designs using these kits. I also used one of Jessa's template kits for Puppy Luv.

Stroke of Midnight

This past week, one of the designers I work with released a really cool new kit called Stroke of Midnight. A Cherry on Top (ACOT), is conducting a challenge this month where the projects and layouts feature only black and white in the the papers and elements. Click hereto see all the awesome creativity submitted to this contest already.

Jeanne Marie's Scraps - Stroke of Midnight

When I saw this kit, I knew it would be perfect for this layout of my oldest daughter and her new husband. She decided that she did not want a traditional picture of their wedding bands with a bouquet or them holding hands. This shot was staged just after the first round of toasts were given at their wedding reception last month.
