Flower Faerie

Before leaving Texas on their last visit, Mommy took photos of Emma in a nearby field where the bluebonnets provided a great background. Emma looks like a little faerie in her Tinkerbell costume. This layout was created with a medley of kits from HotFlashDesings. The background papers are from "For Bitsy". Other kits used include "Love Birds, Picking Apples, AFlutter, Blue Delft, Paradise Found, and Capri."

Huggable

Cameron is so photogenic.  I just had to come up with a special way to showcase this wonderful close-up shot that her Mommy took last month.

I used a kit from HotFlashDesigns, called "For Bitsy", available at A Cherry on Top

Giddiup

My cousins, Marji and Kandy, riding ponies at Breckenridge Park in October, 1957. I wasn’t old enough to ride with them. But that’s my mom standing with Marji. It amazes me that these days, girls wouldn’t be wearing dresses, it would be jeans, like cowboys wear!

Kiddie Park - Revisited

My grandsons are carrying on the family tradition.  This past weekend (Easter Saturday), they visited Kiddie Park and rode ALL the rides that we used to ride as kids.  When I think how long ago that was, I just gasp.

Anyway, to commemorate the event, I created this layout in bright spring colors, using "Between the Raindrops" from Hot Flash Designs, available at Scrapbook Elements.

In this blog post you can see a much younger me in a photo with my cousins, and baby sister.  I'm sure that it was the same weekend, given how we girls were dressed.
