We Are Family

I paper scrapped this weekend. Lots of different reasons, most of which included a time of decompression. But I was so excited to be able to create this layout using only 3 sheets of paper. One cardstock, and two printed double-sided papers. It was so much fun! I've even includes some closeups, so you can see how I created some embellishments from the printed papers.

Need Salt?

At any family get-together, my sister (Priscilla) and niece (Kristina) are the fashionista's of the family. For this particular event last summer, seeing them in heels in the kitchen was a bit funny, but funnier was the reason for the picture. If you look really close, Kristina is fishing out of the cooking pot a salt shaker that had fallen into the mix. Sizzle and Saute is Marci Parmeley's newest kit from Hot Flash Designs! Sometimes I wish I had more "cooking" photos to scrap. Alas, my family will tell you that probably won't happen.

She's The Apple...

of her Daddy's eye. I don't have to say much more than that about this layout. The new kit from Marci Parmeley's Hot Flash Designs available at Funky Playground Designs is called "Picking Apples."

R U Ready?

Miranda and Alan are so into football, as most of their friends know, especially Dallas Cowboys football.  Since they are stationed in the LA area, they even got to see the Boys during training camp in Anaheim.  This week during the season opener, the entire family was dressed to watch TV!  And root for their favorite Team.

Marci's (Hot Flash Designs) newest kit Awesome Sauce, was just perfect for this play on words: The Apple doesn't fall very far on this tree!

Oh My, Emma

It's so hard to believe that this little bundle of energy is already pulling up and standing on her own.  Mommy says that this is her favorite way to watch Horton on TV.  Not sitting, or in the Pack & Play, but standing right up next to the TV.  Watch out, Mommy!  Next thing you know, she'll be feeding oatmeal to all the electronics in the apartment.

I don't usually use orange tones to scrap, simply because I find it hard to mix and match the various hues and shades.  But Marci Parmeley made it so easy in her newest kit "Tangerine" available at A Cherry on Top.

Precious

Sometimes the most captivating photos are taken very randomly.  But it takes just the right digital kit to give the photos that extra Sassy Look.  I waited quite a while until Marci Parmeley brought out Sassy Pants (available at Funky Playground Designs) to scrap these precious shots of Cameron.  It was a hot June day, when she and Dylan were playing outside.  Mom did a great job in capturing these close-ups.

Seriously?!

Can’t really tell if Emma is enjoying herself or not. I just imagine that’s what she’s asking of Daddy. He was bouncing her up and down in the water at the Towers Pool back in July when they were visiting San Antonio for the weekend. I created this layout by combining two kits from Hot Flash Designs: Bee Happy (all the yellow), and No Ordinary Dad (fitting don't you think - which had all of the neutral elements). Both are available at A Cherry on Top.
