So excited to share

that I've been asked to be on 3 Creative Teams! Each of the designers has been a joy to work with, and I really enjoy seeing the new products available every few weeks or so. I invite you to tour their shops, especially at ACOT (A Cherry on Top) where I met all of the designers in the forum!

Jeanelle Paige creates some really neat kits, and a lot of the time she offers them for free! You can find her shop here. I've been designing layouts for Jeanelle since this past summer.

Jeanne Marie has a huge variety of kits - and I absolutely love the ones with her little buddies. Here is an example. Jeanne Marie added me to her Creative Team in mid-December.

And lastly is Just Jessa who is just starting her store at ACOT. She invited me to join her team just a few days ago. I've had soooo much fun with her kits.

Here are a few designs I can share at this time; as the other kits are released, then I'll be able to share more layouts! FYI - The wedding photos are courtesy of the official photographer "Rene". You can see his website here.

These two are for Just Jessa Designs:
For the Christmas Cheer kit

For the Christmas Wishes kit

These are for Jeanne Marie Scraps:
They both use her December Delights kit, and her Christmas clipping mask kit. The bottom one also uses her What a Year template for the month of May. Who says you have to do them in order?

Miss Me?

Yeah, I know I've been MIA. Just too much happening with my daughter's wedding. It's finally come and gone, and I'm now starting to scrap again.

Here are some recent works from her showers and the wedding itself.

OMG! It's been a long time...

since I posted here. But life has so gotten in the way.

At the end of August I got a new job, and between it and the wedding for my daughter (in two weeks), I've been pretty busy. Then add that I've had to move to a new apartment again, but that's a story for another day.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get back to regular posting soon. Especially after the new year, since the rest of this month is jam packed with wedding and Christmas events. Oh, and three work related trips to see clients in remote locations.

Until after the first of the year - hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season, and best wishes for a great new year!

Calling all Cardmakers

This is the call for everyone who participated in the CFH mini-blog hop. If you decided to participate in my or Gail's challenge, then you need to post here to qualify for the RAK we are offering. You can click HERE to see Gail's blog. Just let us know that you are sending a package of 25+2 cards to CFH. In your comment, add a link back to your blog showing a picture of the cards you are sending or sent to CFH. You have until Wednesday, Sept 2 (10 pm CST) to post your comment.

I"ll then choose a random winner and announce it by Sunday, Sept 5.

We'll be doing this challenge in September and October as well, but the October deadline is much shorter for delivery to CFH. They need the cards no later than October 15, in order for the cards to get to the troops and back again to their loved ones in the US for Christmas. If you need more info about CFH, click HERE

Cards for Heroes - Christmas Card Challenge

If you are stopping by my blog first today, you may want to go HERE
to check out the beginning of the Cards For Heroes Mini-Blog hop. You'll eventually come back to me.

This past May, Cards for Heroes sponsored this awesome Blog Hop. I got to visit, without searching for them, over 100 blogs of fellow scrappers. We all shared the cards we had made that would be going overseas. It was so fun, and I made a lot of new friends. I still follow many of those blogs now.

Some of us also committed to participate in the summer challenge of "25+2" cards. This meant creating 25 cards to send to the troops, plus creating 2 additional cards of encouragement for "Any Hero". One was to be a Birthday Card, another a Thinking of You card. And we had to write the inside notes from us! I get teary eyed when I write those notes, knowing what these Heroes are doing every day.

If you are ready to move on to the next blog, click

to visit with Dawn about her cards.

But before you go,
I have a challenge for you!

A friend that I met courtesy of CFH offered up a challenge over the summer to sending the 25+2 cards, but only a few ladies participated. We decided to hook up together and create a shared challenge.

1) You'll have to comment on both of our blogs. That will get you one entry. Gail's blog is GAIL'S CARD CAFE.

2) For every 25+2 set of Christmas cards you make during August, September, and October (Deadline is Oct 15), you'll get an entry for Blog Candy that month.

The challenge, we will both be drawing names for blog candy. And we might even had a grand prize drawing, if anyone participates all three months!

Here are pics of the Blog Candy I'm giving away each month.

September:

October:

Gail and I both hope that everyone will join us in this challenge, and know that by doing so, you'll make a lot of Heroes and their loved ones very happy.

I made the two cards above in less than 15 minutes. These were so easy. I used some tags and scraps, and even found a rub-on sentiment that matched the paper!

Happy Blogging!

Cards for Heroes - Christmas already!

OMG! Can you imagine what it takes to prepare for Christmas when you are in another country. Think about folks who have to travel across country by air - and the changes these days in air travel. Can't wrap the packages, and with the cost of baggage these days, it's not fun.

Now think about it if you are in a war zone! No way to buy presents to send home. So, what's a soldier to do? Run to Wal-Mart or Walgreens for a card. Not really.

So, Cards for Heroes comes to the rescue. This is a really great organization that collects cards from scrapbookers like me, and ships them overseas to miliary bases for distribution to any soldier that wants them. The cards can be for any occassion: Birthday, Anniversary, Get Well, and Holiday. The soldiers can pick what they want, and then send them home postage free!

For me, making the cards gives me a great sense of patriotism, since I know what these young men and women are sacrificing! If I can create something that will give them a good fuzzy feeling, and make their loved one happy too, then I can only feel good about the time and love I put into my cards.

You can read more about this organization here:

CARDS FOF HEROES

This weekend the organization is sponsoring another blog hop in order to encourage others to get creative.

Here is information about this mini-hop:

Be sure you come back on Saturday, cause I'll be posting some really special treats!
